This product works wonderfully.
There are 2 things the very helpful 3G video does not mention:
1) When removing the glass from the frame, be careful not to damage or pry off the black gasket/rubber seal that surrounds the glass.
2) The video does not mention or show the removal of the 3rd clear protective skin that covers the back of the glass that faces the LCD.
The flathead screwdriver I received was magnetic, but the phillips head one was not.
But the product does work well!!

I was a little hesitant to fix my iphone 3g on my own, but I braved it because I couldn't bare the thought of giving Apple all that money to do what seems like an easy fix from the video. I received the product withing a week of ordering it and followed the instructional video very carefully. I did watch it a few times before I tried myself, just to get the idea, and also youtubed a couple others for comparison. I built up some courage and began the process. It was as easy as the video seems. Except for separating the glass from the frame, that part takes a little finesse, I did use a hair drier (I applied heat for about 45 sec) and it took me a couple of tries but I did get it and it popped of pretty easily once I did. I highly recommend this product. The only complaint I have (and I have seen people complain about this before) is the screw driver does not fit the screws well. I had to find another small screwdriver to use. But it was no biggie, I found an eyeglass repair kit screwdriver and that worked fine. Everything else was useful, including the suction cup. It was relatively easy but it did take me about 2 hours from beginning to end. Good luck

When I broke my screen the first thing i thought of was $$$$$$ and i would have to send my phone away for weeks to get it fixed. So glad zeetron.com came up when a did my google search. For less than $30 bucks including shipping and about 10 min replacing the screen and not having to worry about finding the right tools, my phone looks like new again. The instructional video was excellent a great guide so you don't screw up. I'm not the type of person to write reviews but i had to in this instance, keep up the good work guys.

The actual product, once installed, works fine and is definitely better than a cracked screen. However, I ran into a few headaches during my 65 minute installation: 1) The suction cup did not work and a cracked screen at all. I had to improvise with double stick tape and worked great. 2) The screw driver might fit a 2 year old and strips the screws. I used a #0 phillips head with ease. 3) The heat gun idea is not as shown on the video. You'll need needle nose and patience to separate the frame. Also, a razor is nice for chipping at the broken glass.
Conculsion: The install isn't fun or hard, but it will probably give you a headache with the tools provided (over half going unused).
FYI- I wished I had replaced my "home" button during my screen switch, otherwise you'll have to take the screen off again if you want to do it later...
Go Hawkeyes!

I was nervous about trying to replace my cracked screen by myself. I'm not the type to take things apart. But staring at $200 to replace OR repair my iphone through Apple I thought I'd give it a try. I watched the video several times, pausing it along the way and managed to get the new screen in! The only problems I had was getting the screws out with their screwdriver. It seemed a bit too big so I used a small screwdriver I had in my house. The other problem I had was connecting the wires back. It took some time but I finally got all 3 connected at the same time. Whew! Overall, I would highly recommend this kit. Apple is screwing everybody when they make you pay the same to repair as to replace an iphone.

The magnetic screwdriver is not sharp enough to work easily. . .the mag property helps. The video does not describe the white lock/release mechanism for the #3 connector(j-2) which is reconnected first. Not moving this white tab to a 45 degree angle makes it nearly impossible to insert the ribbon connector. Otherwise, everything ok. I recommend that users look at several other YouTube videos to get more complete instructions.

I really didnt know what to expect with this kit. I just bought it expecting a cell phone tech would just replace the glass for me. Sat down and opened up the kit. Watched the instruction videos and got to work. In about 30 minutes my screen was replaced. Everything was working okay. Looks like I got a new phone. Was really going to sell this one so I can get the new iPhone 4. But now I think Im going to stick with my 3G for a little while longer. Kit is excellent. Everything you need is included. Highly recommended! Thanks Zeetron!!!

My daughters screen was cracked really bad so it took some time to get it apart ... The glue will not come off as easily as the video demonstrates ... Use a razor blade and you'll have no problem for the nooks and crannies ... The screwdriver in the kit could be better ... I would recommend getting a better fitting magnetic screwdriver before you start ... Getting the screws broke loose without stripping the head out can be tough with the provided screwdriver (they have a bit of loctite on them)... I did it in about an hour but I'm pretty handy fixing things ... Not for the unmechanically inclined for sure ... My hands are large so I struggled getting the screws back in (my daughter knocked them out for me) ... Overall ... Quality was excellent ... Phone works perfect now ... Thanks Zeetron !

Definitely a great buy. Including the kit of tools and the new screen protector is a really nice touch. Zeetron works with its customers and is very responsive. Be sure and watch the videos (a few times) and you'll be able to do this yourself very easily.
